SUMMARY
      Research, develop and document painting prescesses specifications using proven manufacturing/painting engineering techniques for the purpose of manufacturing quality products at the most economical cost in a metal working environment. Develop operational improvements and implement Lean Manufacturing concepts on the paint line floor. The Painting Engineer must also be able to effectively and professionally interact with any and all levels of the organization.
      
      RESPONSIBILITIES
      1. Utilizes Lean Manufacturing principles to reduce waste and improve performance.
      2. Utilizes Project Management tools/principles to facilitate M.E. projects.
      3. Applies fundamental engineering and operations principles and practices while perform-ing research on painting equipment, processes, and other areas as required to examine potential solutions or recommend appropriate actions
      4. Completes appropriate forms and documentation regarding projects to receive budget, operational, and final approval; approves projects under span of control
      5. Coordinates activities with management or engineers to review projects, objectives, timelines, project tasks, and ensuring communications within the plant; projects are moderate in scope, handles daily problems, and may design smaller scale projects
      6. Implements and monitors small to complex projects that impact general operations to ensure objectives and timelines are met and works with management or plant personnel as required
      Interprets and applies department policies and procedures and applicable laws, rules, and regulations; ensures compliance with these areas
      7. Leads on-going and updated operations, processes, equipment, and related areas, de-velops and reviews a variety of reports and documents, and adjusts equipment or activi-ties as needed
      8. Has the daily oversight, coordinate and lead daily production, maintenance, quality con-trol or related operations
      9. Has to serve as a lead to staff to include assigning and monitoring work and
