Responsibilities
      Project process planning (production)
      1 Clarifying and defining production engineering requirements using existing production processes; analyzing production engineering costs;
      2 Agreeing and following up targets with the project manager in terms of quality, costs and timing in agreement with the superior and taking existing processes and methods into consideration;
      3 Involvement in the integration of internal and external services if necessary, taking economic, qualitative and scheduling points of view into consideration, and in cooperation with the superior;
      4 Involvement in and/or implementation of defined escalation scenarios whenever deviations from targets occur in process planning; showing existing alternative solutions;
      5 Ensuring that defined technical standards are kept within the context of process planning; drawing up and implementing improvements in processes;
      
      Planning and specifying working cycles, working sequences and operating equipment
      1 Agreement and specification of the requirements made in the customer specification for operating equipment in cooperation with those responsible and taking costs, quality and deadline targets into account;
      2 Planning of new production sequences and operating equipment with the aid of existing production processes, taking knowledge from the fields of work sciences, production engineering and economics into account, as well as guidelines and standards; determining production costs in cooperation with those involved;
      3 Drafting suggestions for the design of components suitable for production, naming concrete saving potentials; proposing changes related to design or production engineering;
      4 Planning operating equipment on the basis of capacity and staff deployment plans to be drawn up; defining the type, scope and amount of necessary operating equipment (including auxiliary and series tools, jigs, testing equipment, special machines); arranging for the procurement and/or production of the specified operating equipment;
      5 Determining the internal operating equipment construction capacities available; making inquiries about costs, and preparing suggestions for internal or external procurement;
      6 Specification and description of production sequences, production capacities and production equipment data, taking the planning parameters (work sequences, planning times, batch sizes) into consideration; preparing production plans using existing systems and processes;
      7 Evaluating risks using the FMEA process, and taking customer requirements into consideration
      
      
      Other tasks
      1 Planning and coordinating the preparation of (initial) samples, taking component recording and provision into account; monitoring the production of (initial) samples and carrying out acceptance test checks; if appropriate initiating design changes in agreement with the project team;
      2 Analyzing the test sample results on the basis of documentation and test reports, taking customer requirements into consideration; deriving measures if necessary;
      3 Continual editing, interpretation and implementation of relevant technical information from internal and external positions (Sales, customer) incl. IMDS;
      4 Involvement in internal and external preliminary series audits in the area of production / quality assurance; supporting series auditing in agreement with the superior / positions responsible;
      5 Preparing, updating and managing production and quality-related documentation according to the existing guidelines;
      6 Involvement in the technical implementation of production relocation;
      7 Involve in engineering change management (EOP control, cost definition, feasibility analysis, scheduling etc.)
      8 Support of foreign locations in building up production with regard to all process planning tasks.
